This manual is applicable to Offshore Units only.
This manual sets out MC’s minimum standard pertaining to Lifting Operations.
The objective of this manual is to provide procedures and checklists for safe lifting operations onboard Maersk Contractors Offshore Units. All lifting operations have to be conducted as specified in this manual in order to avoid damage to personnel, equipment, and environment.
This manual must be used within the framework of:

  • Applicable rules and regulations of the operating area
  • Manufacturer’s operating instructions applicable to the equipment involved
  • Restrictions specified in the MODU Operations Manual / FPSO Operations Manual.

Section 5 of this manual contains procedures and safety checklists.
The requirement of the checklists in Section 5 must be following, but it is not mandatory to fill in the checklist except for 5.06 / Man Riding Operations.
Contract or Location specific requirements may be described in the “Unit specific procedures Manual Section 14.
The contents of this manual may be used as a guideline for Onshore lifting operations.
