Towmaster Manual – Maersk Contractors

The objective of this manual is to provide specific instructions to the person in charge of the offshore unit during a moving operation and to provide general guidelines for the conduct of marine operations.

1. Sections 1 through 5 provide detailed guidelines for the conduct of marine operations in general including guidelines for moving MOUs on and off operating locations.
2. Section 6 through 8 are reserved for future use.
3. Section 9 is reserved for the publication holder’s personal notes.
4. Section 10 provides the specific mandatory checklists for the person in charge of the operation. The checklists will ensure that the decision to deviate from standard criteria or the approved Operation Plan will be made subject to review and authorisation.

Towmasters are the primary users of this manual, however, the content will serve as a reference for all who are involved with the moving operation.
