Weatherford Drilling International (WDI) provides well construction and well maintenance services to its customers, primarily through the safe and effective operation of its drilling rigs. In providing service to its customers WDI aspires to excel in all aspects of its business. WDI recognizes that success in service excellence requires the effective integration and involvement of its personnel and its management system with every task it undertakes.
Engaging personnel and management systems to achieve the right outcome for every task require leadership and management, in action. This manual forms part of the WDI Business Management System (BMS) and the policies, procedures, standards, and expectations set forth herein are integral with WDI leadership and management of successful operations and service excellence.

HSE Goal

WDI has established Zero Accidents and Zero Incidents as the benchmark of success in the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) element of its operational performance. WDI believes every task can be accomplished without accident or incident and expects every employee to engage in HSE systems and processes suitable for each task to assure a safe outcome.
WDI promotes this expectation through its ‘Zero Injury – Its People … It’s Personal’ message, and through its Operational Values “Engage… Do Right… Excel” (refer BMS 01-10-GEN The Company, Its Objectives, and Expectations).
WDI expects its management and leaders (wherever they may be in the organization) to establish and reinforce an operational culture that achieves ‘Zero Injury – It’s People … It’s Personal’

HSE Manual

This Manual provides employees with relevant information regarding WDI policies, procedures, standards, and expectations relating to the management of occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) aspects of WDI activities.
This Manual also provides information on the application and use of Company HSE processes and systems to ensure that HSE risks associated with WDI activities can be identified, mitigated, and controlled to a level that is ‘as low as reasonably practicable’.
