Following a review of the existing Well Engineering Performance Incentive scheme (WEPI 2.1), the existing scheme has been revised in order to ensure continued performance improvement. The new scheme has been developed based on the recommendations from the review.

The key drivers for the development of the new scheme are simplicity, transparency, and consistency.
The Well Engineering Performance Incentive applies to drilling operations. There is a separate incentive scheme for hoist operations which is outside the scope of this document. The details of the hoist incentive scheme are specified in the hoist contracts.

For the In-Sourcing rigs and hoists chapter 7.5, Appendix 5, In-Sourcing Rigs and Hoists Incentive Scheme has been added to give guidance in relation to the distribution methodology of HSE and Well Engineering Incentives within the In-Sourcing organization.

At its sole discretion, PDO shall reserve the right to amend, suspend or withdraw any of the incentive schemes detailed within this guideline.

The objective of this Guideline is to explain the Well Engineering Performance Incentive scheme to Well Engineering staff. It describes how the incentive awards are calculated and the operating structure of the scheme.

This Guideline also provides an explanation of the HSE Incentive Scheme.
This Guideline is targeted at all PDO Well Engineering staff plus Drilling Contractors.
