GU-815 – Working Aloft & Rescue Procedure – PDO
In 2013 PDO has formerly adapted singed off a single document for all its working at height activities in SP-1257. With the diverse activities and being very specialized, Telecoms working at height requires more guidelines for the people undertaking the work. Hence this guideline (GU815) is a complementary document to PDO GU-363 to support the understanding of SP1257 and what is required.
The purpose of this document is to offer guidance to contractor supervisors, company line management, and HSE advisors on the requirements of planning and managing work at height in towers and masts.
This Guideline describes PDO’s requirements for:
- Working at Height
- Personal Fall Protection Equipment
- Rescue procedures
This document applies to all activities involving, working at heights undertaken by IM&T, and Contractor/Sub-Contractor personnel authorized to work on behalf of PDO IM&T.
Although it is focused on “working on Towers”, it applies equally to all similar activities, whether for maintenance, new installations, or any other purpose.
