- Do not travel with a person you don’t know
But if you still have to:
- Verify the identity of your partner, basically look up his details in his/her passport if possible (do not trust ‘I am John Doe’);
- Go through some videos “How to hide money while travelling”, to be able to hide some money as a backup if things turn bad;
- Under no circumstances trust your passport to anyone;
- Keep family members or friends informed of current location and planned route;
- Make sure that your travel partner knows that you inform somebody about your location;
- Make sure that your travel partner hears how you say his/her name to the family members /friends;
- Do not trust your luggage to the Travel Partner (beware of drug trafficking etc.);
- The rest precautions are the same as any other travel;
