The role of nurses in educational institutions is critical in promoting the health and well-being of students and staff members. Responsibilities
  • Providing medical treatment to personnel that are ill or injured.
  • Inspects eye wash stations and emergency showers and records findings.

  • Inspects and maintain first aid stations and records findings.

  • Follow-up with Staff & Students who have any restrictions mentioned in their Health records

  • Conducts Cleanliness and Hygiene Inspections.

  • Adds newly generated actions to Action Tracking tool.

  • Closes out actions assigned to him in Action Tracking tool.

  • Conducts Trainings as per Competency Training Matrix;

  • Tests potable water supply is fit for consumption and maintains anadequate supply of test supplies;

  • Refer personnel to hospitals as required;

  • Reports Incidents as per reporting guidelines immediately;

  • Maintains clinic equipment and medicines;

  • Maintains accurate record of all consultations and treatments;

  • Maintains confidentiality of medical data;

  • Preparation of medical and incident reports;

  • Providing first aid;

  • Drug administration;

  • Checking vital signs;

  • Emergency nebulization and oxygen administration;

  • Performing dressing;

  • Check RBS;

  • Prescription of medication according to the approved list;

  • Manage and isolate students with suspected cases of infectious disease.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Any additional administrative tasks as requested by Management;

  • Promote a healthy lifestyle and prevent illnesses among University/College students;

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate healthcare plans for Staff, Students and Visitors.

  • Implements health policies and procedures in collaboration with the government and the Institution’s administration.
  • Foster health by facilitating a health promoting environment within the University/College community.

  • Identify needs for health education for the Institution’s community and facilitate implementation and evaluation of health education plan.

  • Prepares Monthly statistics;

  • Comply with government policies, standards, and practices.

  • Comply with Institution’s policies, standards, and practices.

  • Maintains inventory records for Asset, Medicines and Consumables;

  • Dissiminates health and wellness updates from Institution or Regulators’

  • Responsible for maintaining and renewing a nursing license.
Qualifications
  • Registered General Nurse
  • BLS valid certificate
