Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS)

CCOHS is Canada’s federal agency dedicated to promoting the physical, psychosocial, and mental health and safety of Canadians at work. Established in 1978 by an Act of Parliament, CCOHS provides:

• Free public resources and tools (fact sheets, courses, software, posters, podcasts)

• e-Learning and training programs on work safety topics

• Management system solutions for workplace hazard prevention, injury reporting, ergonomics, chemical safety, and legislative compliance

• Online databases covering hazardous substances, workplace safety, and health legislation

• A free inquiry service to help Canadians answer workplace safety questions

• Consulting and resource-sharing with Canadian and international organizations

CCOHS works with governments, employers, and workers to advance workplace well-being and eliminate occupational hazards.
