Radiation Safety Awareness

Radiation is invisible, odorless and easy to underestimate — from radiography sources and nuclear gauges to NORM scale in oil field tubulars. This awareness course covers ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, dose concepts, the time-distance-shielding toolkit, ALARA, dosimetry and postings, source emergencies, and the lasers, RF and UV hazards of everyday worksites.
