Emergency services were called to a derelict building fire at Deans Industrial Estate around 3:20 p.m. Four fire engines and a height vehicle were sent to the scene, and flames ripped through the building’s roof while large plumes of smoke were visible from the M8.
The fire was brought under control in the early hours of Monday after crews worked for more than ten hours to make the area safe. Police said the fire is being treated as wilful, and investigations are ongoing.
