A worker was killed during an industrial accident along the West Beltway on Friday, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
HCSO says it was called to the incident just after 7 a.m. at 2201 N Sam Houston Parkway West.
Deputies said a male employee was operating a crane with a large weight parcel hanging by tow straps when the straps broke, and the parcel fell on top of him.
The sheriff's office said the worker, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene when EMS responded.
