- Heed the Call of the Code: Just like a pirate ship needs a code to sail smoothly, this school’s got its own rules. Always follow ’em, for they keep ye and yer mates safe and sound.
- Keep an Eye on the Horizon: Awareness be key, me hearties. Always keep an eye out for potential hazards, whether in the classroom or on the playground.
- Swim with a Watchful Eye: If ye be takin’ a dip in the water, make sure there’s a watchful eye keepin’ tabs on ye. No sailin’ the seas alone, understand?
- Beware of the Sun’s Wrath: The sun can be a fierce enemy. Slather on that sunscreen, don yer hats, and keep hydrated to avoid its fiery gaze.
- Tread Softly, Aye: Be mindful of those around ye, both landlubbers and crewmates. Treat each other with kindness and respect, and we’ll sail smoothly together.
- Ain’t No Runnin’ on Deck: Running on the deck of a ship can lead to disaster, just as it can here in the school. Keep those feet steady and avoid unnecessary calamity.
- Fire in the Galley, Run for the Hills!: In the event of an emergency, know yer escape routes and muster points, and follow the instructions of yer teachers and crew.
- Guard Yer Belongings, Me Hearties: Just like guarding treasure, keep a watchful eye on yer belongings, lest they befall the hands of a sneaky scallywag.
- Be Prepared for Stormy Weather: Storms may brew unexpectedly. Be prepared for emergencies and know the safety protocols, me mateys.
- Pirate’s Pledge: As members of this summer school crew, pledge to uphold these HSE values, and we’ll all sail through these two weeks with smiles on our faces.
- Avast, the Fire Alarm: When ye hear the fire alarm, it be like the call of the Kraken, demanding swift action. When that alarm rings, drop everything ye be doin’ and make your way to safety with haste!
- Steady as She Goes: Remember to stay calm and composed, like a seasoned sailor in rough waters. No need to run about like a chicken with its head cut off. We’ll leave in an orderly manner, following the lead of our teachers, who be like the ship’s quartermasters.
- Ye Exit Strategy – Know It Well: Every good pirate knows their escape route, and so shall ye! Learn the layout of the exits in the school, so when it’s time to leave, ye know where to go without fumbling about like a landlubber.
- Watch for Hazards: Keep a weather eye out for any obstacles or hazards on the way out. If there be smoke or fire, remember to stay low like a stealthy sea creature to avoid the worst of it.
- Scallywag Roll Call: Once we’ve reached our muster point outside, we’ll do a roll call to make sure all our shipmates are accounted for. No one gets left behind on this adventure!
- Stick Together Like Barnacles: Stay with your class and stick together, just like barnacles cling to the ship’s hull. No wanderin’ off on your own, me hearties!
- Seek Shelter in the Clear Skies: Find a safe spot away from the danger, just as we steer the ship away from treacherous waters. Listen to the teachers, and they’ll keep us safe and sound.
- Communicate Like a True Buccaneer: If ye see any fellow crew members in need of help, or if you have important information, speak up like a true buccaneer. Communication be key in times of peril!
- Signal for Reinforcements: If the situation be dire and we need help, our teachers will know how to send the signal for reinforcements to come to our aid, just like raising the Jolly Roger for assistance.
