HSE Officer – Oil & Gas

Experience required: Minimum 5 years of proven HSE experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with mandatory GCC experience

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of the company HSE management system across Oil & Gas operations.

• Participate in planning and execution of jobs to ensure compliance with permit-to-work (PTW) requirements.

• Conduct task-based risk assessments (JHA/TRA), identify hazards, and propose effective controls.

• Monitor work activities on site to verify adherence to safety procedures and regulatory standards.

• Assist in incident and near-miss reporting, investigation, and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions.

• Contribute to HSE meetings, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to promote a positive safety culture.

• Maintain HSE documentation and records as required by company and client standards.

Required qualifications and certifications

• Minimum 5 years HSE experience in the Oil & Gas sector, including GCC project exposure

• NEBOSH IGC (Level 3)

• IOSH Managing Safely

• OSHA 30-hour certification

Skills and competencies

• Strong knowledge and hands-on expertise in PTW systems

• Solid experience conducting Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) / Task Risk Assessment (TRA)

• Competence in incident investigation techniques and reporting

• Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage with multicultural site teams.
