Role summary
The HSE Officer will support daily site safety activities and ensure compliance with HSE standards on oil and gas construction and operational projects.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years’ HSE experience in oil and gas site environments, with strong exposure to PTW, risk assessments, and site supervision.
Key responsibilities
Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and project requirements.
Conduct safety inspections, audits, and walkdowns to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
Support implementation of risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSA) and Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
Participate in toolbox talks and deliver safety awareness sessions for workers and contractors.
Report unsafe acts and conditions and follow up on timely implementation of corrective actions.
Assist in incident and near-miss reporting and support basic investigations as required.
Ensure proper use of PPE and promote safe work practices across the site.
Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and the HSE team to enable safe execution of work.
Maintain HSE documentation, records, and daily reports in line with company requirements.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 10+ years of HSE experience in the oil and gas sector, preferably in construction or operational environments.
Strong knowledge of site safety practices, PTW systems, and risk assessment processes.
Recognised HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent (preferred

Ability to work in a fast‑paced site environment and collaborate with multicultural teams.
