In risk assessment, after reassessment of risk (after putting initial control measures) will the likelyhood and severity both change?

Or only likelihood will reduce and severity remain same?

Answer with example.

Both may change.
Depends on what you targetted when you introduced certain control after initial assessment at the first place.

If your control was "Elimination" type, then likelihood will drop to zero.

Something with zero Likelihood may have no Severity.

If we put air mattresses on the ground in order to minimize the impact of falling from height, it will definitely reduce/soften the impact of falling, even if the likelihood of falling is high.
